To achieve these goals, we utilize a structured IT/OT roadmap that guides facilities from initial data collection to advanced autonomous optimization.

However, integrating these technologies into existing “legacy” plants requires a strategic approach to overcome operational and layout constraints. This session illustrates this roadmap through four practical case studies:

1) MES Integration: Digitizing manual data and connecting legacy instruments to realize electronic batch records.
2) AI-Driven Inspection: Enhancing visual inspection with AI image diagnosis to achieve labor-saving and higher accuracy.
3) Automated Logistics: Introducing automated warehouses and AGVs into existing layouts for operational labor-saving.
4) Carbon Neutrality (CN): Implementing energy management systems and utility redesign to meet sustainability targets.

These examples demonstrate that a thorough “Optimization Study” conducted prior to technology implementation is the most critical factor for a successful DX journey.
