・The state of Selangor, which surrounds Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, is the largest state in terms of population and GDP. The manufacturing and service sectors account for 90% of its GDP, with the manufacturing sector exceeding the national average at 34% and having the largest industrial area in the country.
・The state’s seven core industries, centered on food and beverage manufacturing and life sciences, are home to several domestic and foreign-owned manufacturing facilities. In addition to the concentration of various supply chains, the ease of recruiting highly skilled personnel and access to domestic and international transportation hubs are also advantages of the location.
