Abstract<\/th>\nThe transition to Pharma 4.0 offers tangible operational advantages, most notably the implementation of electronic batch records, significant labor savings, and carbon neutrality.<\/p>\n

To achieve these goals, we utilize a structured IT\/OT roadmap that guides facilities from initial data collection to advanced autonomous optimization.<\/p>\n

However, integrating these technologies into existing “legacy” plants requires a strategic approach to overcome operational and layout constraints. This session illustrates this roadmap through four practical case studies:<\/p>\n

1) MES Integration<\/strong>: Digitizing manual data and connecting legacy instruments to realize electronic batch records.
\n2) AI-Driven Inspection<\/strong>: Enhancing visual inspection with AI image diagnosis to achieve labor-saving and higher accuracy.
\n3) Automated Logistics<\/strong>: Introducing automated warehouses and AGVs into existing layouts for operational labor-saving.
\n4) Carbon Neutrality (CN)<\/strong>: Implementing energy management systems and utility redesign to meet sustainability targets.<\/p>\n

These examples demonstrate that a thorough “Optimization Study” conducted prior to technology implementation is the most critical factor for a successful DX journey.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
